How to Use WordPress to Automate Your Business

July 30, 2010 | Read the story »

By Zornitza Pavlova-MacKinnon

WordPress is an amazing blogging platform – but it”s so much more than that. In fact, this article will teach you some things as to how to use WordPress to automate your website and therefore your business, leaving you time to do the things you enjoy without having to keep your finger on every little “nook and cranny” job that needs to be done. Here are just some of the things WordPress can do.

Adsense

If you use AdSense to earn extra income on your site, the Adsense Integrator can both dad and then manage the Adsense ads you put on your blog, effortlessly following the last Adsense rules and updates without your having to keep on top of them. This is one way when it comes to how to use WordPress that you can really earn passive income without having to do anything except for adding the initial plug-in.

Google analytics

When it comes to how to use WordPress to track your customers, Google Analytics will help you keep track of who”s visiting your page, where they”re from, and a lot more information that”s valuable when it comes to knowing your customers. The Google “Analyticater” offered by WordPress makes it very easy to add this to your website.

XML Sitemaps

The XML Sitemaps plug-in will make you much more visible to your customers — in fact, if your customers can”t find you, it”s not likely you will have any business at all to speak of. However, Sitemaps easily makes you visible to search engines as they crawl your site, which gets you seen on the web — and therefore gets you more customers.

AWeber

AWeber is a service that, although not free, can really help you explode your business. Used with WordPress, it”s another way you can really automate your business. With this service, you can basically turn autoresponder functions into guaranteed customer draws. You can create website sign-up forms, which will help you attract customers; instead of simply having visitors anonymously visit your site and then go away, you can simply include a sign-up form on your blog using AWeber”s simple “point-and-click” interactive functionality.

That”s not all, though. While most auto responders will send canned messages to subscribers after sign-up and other functions, AWeber actually provides you the ability to give personalized e-mails to subscribers or customers in an automated sequence that”s really going to give you the ability to connect with your customers — and your potential customers, too. What”s more, you can also schedule autoresponder functions so that they”ll go up when you know your customers are likely to be thinking about reordering, as applicable. Again, this is all automatic, and he will only rarely have to lift a finger after initial setup.

All of this and more is available if you know how to use WordPress and associated plug-ins and services to fully automate your business. Of course, your business is still going to need you to run it, but automating it as much as possible for the simple day-to-day mundane tasks such as those described above will to free you up to focus on the really important part of your business, which is to provide quality products and/or services.

Taking Advantage Of Change Management Software

July 30, 2010 | Read the story »

By Jordan McPelt

Any organization that works in an industry that is heavily regulated by the FDA or ISO needs to document any changes it makes to things like design specs, equipment documentation, SOPs, raw material specifications and more. This is often very difficult to do by hand, which explains why so many companies are turning to change management software for support.

Change management software will allow companies to establish procedures throughout all the departments and facilities which will confirm quality and security. If the business can take full advantage of these software solutions, it can meet those industry rules and get rid of a lot of issues related to human error.

Change management software is utilized by businesses that want ways to prevent the communication breakdowns that happen in big businesses. This is specifically harmful to businesses in regulated environments. Departments must keep in touch continuously to make sure that everything is appropriately documented and that each of the tasks are properly resolved.

Using change management software may lead to automatic task assignment, routing, scheduling, notification, and escalation of incomplete tasks. As new tasks appear, or simply as something is altered, the computer software will instantly inform the appropriate people of the modification and guide them through the steps to guarantee it is managed accurately.

Industries who have the most polices imposed on them are usually in the life sciences field. Mainly because these companies have services or products that can have an impact (for good or for bad) on the consumer”s actual health and wellness. Companies are expected to maintain compliance with industry rules and regulations, which explains why all changes have to be documented.

Regulatory agencies, like the FDA and ISO, will demand that companies report on the status of each of the relevant changes that are made during their manufacturing or development processes. Change management software is amongst the best ways to get this done, because it helps identify and prioritize the alterations. You”ll find it provides periodic status updates on the tasks which are currently being worked on.

Whenever a company needs to handle different industry regulations, managing change control can be very tedious. With change management software, it”s possible to use a secure and centralized system to ensure all the correct changes are made with little room for error. In a competitive field, this type of advantage can”t be ignored.

Any company that has to handle major industry regulations may understand how much simpler things could be with reliable automation installed throughout all its departments. When you are able wipe out the chances for human error, it”ll be less difficult to comply with all those rules and regulations and still take your product to market and even make a profit.

About The Author

It is crucial for a company to use change management software when working to meet FDA and ISO requirements. Other quality software, including CAPA software makes the integration and automation of processes easier and makes your company run more efficiently.

The Most Important Office Tools: Paper Shredders And Laminators

July 30, 2010 | Read the story »

By Jordan McPelt

Business and offices require different office equipment in order to help them operate as efficiently as possible. Although computers have been essential office supplies, equipment like paper shredders and laminators also play a crucial role inside an organization.

Many businesses deal with clients on a daily basis and as a result of this they obtain information from them that is supposed to be confidential. However, eventually the time will come that they need to dispose of several documents during office maintenance. So in order to keep these documents confidential, paper shredders are used to prevent personnel and other people from seeing these documents. Taking the proper precautions will prevent data leakage that can potentially sabotage the company”s reputation.

Paper shredders are large boxes that have slots on top for the paper to pass through. The goal you are trying to achieve with this equipment is to slice or shred the documents to thousands of unreadable pieces. Doing this will prevent other people from reading its contents and leaking proprietary information to competitors.

When it comes to choosing the right paper shredders, it is also important that you choose the ones that would endure the normal wear and tear of everyday use. You may also want to consider a shredder that can also handle shredding items such as discs and credit cards. Some media such as cds and dvds can store important files and in order to properly dispose of it, destroying these discs is very important. t

The second type of equipment that many organizations can use is laminators. These are useful in laminating identification cards used throughout their offices. The benefit of owning their own laminators is that they wont need to spend time looking for service providers outside the company to do this task. If your company has an increasing need to laminate, it may be more cost effective to purchase it rather than seeking external sources.

This type of equipment can also laminate documents and report covers so that they will not be damaged. These documents are essential reports that need to be well taken care of.

Companies must be able to get this equipment from reliable manufacturers or suppliers. It is important to be able to save money by getting tools and equipment that will last a long time.

Overall, these tools are essential for every company to have. This will surely work especially in protecting confidential documents from possible leakage and even physical damage.

About The Author

A lot of office supplies are important but perhaps none as much as paper shredders and laminators. Laminators are key, and shredders can”t be beat.

E-commerce websites can have a huge positive impact on a business” income. E-commerce offers the tremendous opportunity of increasing your clientele while lowering costs. This unbeatable combination requires a lot more effort than just launching an e-commerce website. An internet site will not improve your business prospects unless supported with tactical, and bold advertising and marketing.

The success of an e-commerce solution depends on how successfully you pull in traffic, get them to stay, transform their visit into a sale, and encourage repeat visits. These points are reviewed in more detail below.

Grow website traffic

Driving traffic to your e-commerce web site is a vital 1st step. Some of the effective strategies for getting more hits on the web site are:

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) of the website

SEO refers to the optimization of web content by including targeted keywords that are most used by internet surfers for searches on that topic and making the website search engine friendly by creating good navigation and meta tags. Optimization of your e-commerce website will improve its page rank.

Strategic positioning internet advertisements

Internet ads can be strategically inserted in relevant websites. You may also use paid advertising to have your ad appear in relevant search engine results.

Cross promotion of website with the brick-and-mortar store

Businesses that have both a brick and mortar and an e-commerce website can benefit by cross-promotional strategies. Customers that shop at the store should be encouraged to use the e-commerce outlet to save or to make further purchases. By introducing them to your e-commerce solution, you are also defending your business against other e-commerce competitors that can attract your customers.

Keep the interest of prospects

When a prospect is on your e-commerce website, its design and content should make her want to read through the site. This can be achieved by:

Intriguing headlines

The website content should be simple and precise. Interesting captions should be used to tempt shoppers into browsing through the offers and deals on the e-commerce website.

Highlight offers

Deals and promotions should be highlighted on the website so that they catch a prospect”s eye immediately. Use deadline driven marketing to make customers act faster.

Get visitors to buy

The main objective of an e-commerce website is to sell products. You can convert visitors into customers by:

Make value offers

Discounts and combo offers can entice visitors into buying. Gifting small articles or purchase options on spending a minimum amount also propels customers towards more purchases.

Make products easy to find

Website design should allow customers to find products in a minimum number of clicks without too much searching. Shoppers should be able to easily browse, quickly add items to the shopping cart, and pay without any pain or delay.

Make checkout easy and quick

Tedious forms and time-consuming checkout processes make customers ditch the shopping cart in the middle of finalizing an order. Prevent this from happening by optimizing the checkout process by requiring minimal typing and clicks to complete a purchase.

Encourage customers to come back

Customers need some attraction to make a repeat purchase at your website. Following are some inducements to make it possible:

Reward points for repeat customers

Customers who shop on the e-commerce website repeatedly should be granted discounts and faster shipping.

Good quality fulfillment service

E-commerce websites should use the best fulfillment services. They should also promise timely assistance and support to customers, promptly take care of customer queries and any problems related to orders.

Efficient marketing and website design are determining factors in the success or failure of the e-commerce solution. Every company should follow the above mentioned guidelines to improve sales and enhance customer relationships.

Five Easy Ways to Gain Time to be a Real Money Maker Online

July 27, 2010 | Read the story »

By Jacky Makepeace

You have decided to start up a business so you can be real money maker online, but you already have a full-time or part-time job. You can not afford to ditch the job, it pays your bills. So how do you find the time to research the best online business opportunity for you and get it started and maintain it and build it, so it can then let you give up the regular job?

We all have 24 hours a day (state the obvious, why dont you). However, not many of us know how we use that time. We do not sit down and think about it on a regular basis – we just get up in the morning and get on with our day – usually looking forward to the time in the evening after work when we have planned some nice social activity!

1. Write down on paper your daily schedule of 24 hours. Actually document each day this week from Monday through to Sunday with what you actually spend your time doing. Write down what time you get up and what you do, when you go to work, how much time you spend getting there, when you come home, what you do in the evening. What exactly is it you are spending your time doing?? How do you find time to fit in this intrusive piece of extra work?

2. Get up an hour earlier! Oh, no! However, once you do it on a regular basis it does get easier. And, magic! you have now found an instant extra hour to your productive day!!

3. Especially for the women, Delegate more of your routine tasks. Teach your kids to tidy their own rooms, pick up their own laundry, make their own beds, Hoover the floor, help load and unload the dishwasher, etc, etc. This goes for husbands too!! You do not need to do all these tasks yourself, necessarily. If you explain to your household members why they need to do more at home, (that is, giving you the time to spend developing passive income to spend on them!) they will give up moaning soon enough. Together with this, look at the time you spend running kids to activities and plan to delegate some of that to others.

4. Use the down time in your schedule, which you have now identified from steps one, two and three, to increase your business building productivity. What I mean is, use time spent travelling in your car/train/bus for mobile learning. Listen to tapes, plan your business building schedule on a Dictaphone, dictate ideas to follow up later, etc. Give up some of the time you spend doing non-productive stuff, such as watching TV, to spend on business building tasks. Take a laptop/mobile with you so that you can access the internet for research, etc. when you are away from home.

5. Decide what time to actually allocate to planning/preparation/research for your new venture and what time to spend taking action, i.e. getting your website up and running or jumping into starting your project. Time allocation is as important as time research. The daily time schedule of successful business people (offline) typically looks like this: 6.5 hours spent sleeping, 5.5 hours spent planning and reading about their work areas, 9.5 hours of action related to their work, 2.5 hours of relaxation. (Survey conducted in US with top businessmen: 75% adhered to this framework, 20% took work home as well!)

Once you have determined where your time is and where you need it to be, you can plan your 24 hours more appropriately to fit into your lifestyle how to start your own real-money-makers, online business opportunity.

You have now discovered how to become time rich through planning. However, unlike the above business people, you need to also become money rich. Not money rich, time poor.

Is Affiliate Marketing the Ideal Business Model?

July 26, 2010 | Read the story »

By Ryan Round

Despite what some so-called ”gurus” might tell you, affiliate marketing success is not that easy to come by.

Affiliate marketing is a specific business model that has its own unique set of techniques that you have to learn. You will also find that irrespective of the exact market segment you choose to go after, there will be a lot of competition from other affiliate marketers.

If you are going to become a successful affiliate marketer you will have to make a commitment at the outset that you are in it for the long haul, and that you will stick it out through the inevitable challenges you will meet along the way.

If you believe that affiliate marketing is a ”get rich quick” scheme and that by becoming an affiliate marketer you will soon have a bank account bursting with cash, then you are going to be sorely disappointed.

Get used to the fact right from the start that affiliate marketing is a business – a business that you”ll have to put a significant amount of time and effort into before you”re likely to see any real financial rewards.

You need to be prepared to learn. Even if you come from a business background, you will find that affiliate marketing has a learning curve attached to it. You must be prepared to learn new things from the outset and be prepared to continue your learning as you progress in your affiliate marketing career.

You have to stay focused on your long-term goal of developing an affiliate marketing business that will bring you a full-time income, or at least a decent second income, and realize that this will not happen overnight. You have to be determined that you won”t be discouraged because of a few roadblocks that might appear in your way. You have to expect some negatives on the way to your planned positive outcome.

So, will it all be worth it? There are lots of people who have managed to achieve so-called ”super affiliate” status and who have dwarfed their former employee incomes many times over. There is absolutely no reason why you cannot join them.

You don”t need lots of skill and esoteric know-how to make it as an affiliate marketer. You just have to be prepared to learn the basics and take massive action towards your goal. If you do this and promise yourself that you will keep on working until you achieve your affiliate marketing objectives, there is absolutely no reason why you cannot make it as an affiliate marketer.

Top 5 Pay Per Click Mistakes Made Online Today

July 24, 2010 | Read the story »

By Bob Withers

This is how it usually happens: You”re new to Internet marketing and you”ve just set up your home business website and you want to drive the most traffic you can as quickly as you can to your home page using one of the most popular methods being employed online today, pay per click advertising.

The main problem with this scenario is that it”s made up of a dangerous combination factors. You”re a so called newbie, you”re anxious to get started making money online and you have a little knowledge of PPC, and we all know what they say about possessing a little knowledge.

These three things merging at once provide a recipe for financial disaster. This leads to the number one mistake made by home business owners and Internet marketers in general online today when it comes to PPC; and that is jumping into the deep end of the pay per click pool without having educated yourself on the nuances of this Internet marketing strategy in order to be able to compete successfully for your keywords at minimum cost. You must make sure you”re equipped with the knowledge you need or you could pay dearly, financially speaking, while showing little or no return for your investment.

The second biggest blunder made by marketers on the web when it comes to pay per click is not completing a comprehensive research of their keywords. This is a necessity so you”ll have a better idea about the degree of competition there is for these words and how much they are going to cost.

This also helps you establish a back-up plan using keywords which aren”t in such high demand. This plan B approach can be just as effective in terms of driving the traffic you need to your home business website while at the same being a more cost effective strategy.

Next, Internet marketers sometimes don”t realize or recognize when it”s the best time to leave a sinking ship. Staying with a pay per click campaign too long, which is both costly and ineffective, will lead to high costs and low page rankings which is something no one just starting out on the web needs. Accept this failed strategy as a learning experience and move on to your next challenge.

Another error made by PPC strategists is failing to set a budget for their promotion. It”s best to set a daily amount and don”t give into the temptation to increase your investment until you start seeing a return. Once again this is a tactic to help avoid going over budget with your plan.

Finally, pay per click enthusiasts sometimes fail to be consistent when using a particular keyword. If you”re competing for it be sure to use it throughout different aspects of your advertising campaign. Use the same keywords you use in your ad as you use on your home page. This provides continuity for your potential customer and also makes your ad more recognizable.

By avoiding these five faux pauxs the odds of conducting a successful pay per click Internet marketing campaign will increase significantly.
